Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Do you accept Traditional Medicare?

Yes, we accept Traditional Medicare. Once you have met your annual Medicare deductible, we will bill Medicare directly for covered services. Before your first session, we will confirm your coverage and verify if your deductible has been met. Counseling and psychotherapy are included as covered services.

Do you accept Medicare Advantage Plans?

No, we do not accept Medicare Advantage plans. However, most plans offer out-of-network coverage. It's important that you contact your Medicare Advantage provider to understand your out-of-network benefits and any possible limitations. As out-of-network providers, we do serve those with Medicare Advantage plans, but have no information regarding specific plans.

How does payment work with Traditional Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans?

For Traditional Medicare, once you’ve met your annual deductible, we bill Medicare directly and they handle the payment. In most cases, Medicare will send the claim to your Medigap or supplemental insurance.

We are Out of Network for all Supplemental or Medigap plans, so if your supplemental plan has out of network benefits, we will receive payment directly from them. If you do not have out of network coverage for your supplemental plan, then we will charge the payment method on file (credit card or debit card) that you have provided us with.

For Medicare Advantage plans, you will need to call the insurance company to find out if your have out of network benefits. We will charge the credit card you have on file for the amount allowed by Medicare for each session. You'll receive a receipt via email, which you will need to submit to your Medicare Advantage plan for reimbursement based on your plan's terms.

For Traditional Medicare, your fee is determined by Medicare. For Medicare Advantage plans, our session fee is the amount allowed by Medicare but your reimbursement is determined by the insurance company, and not by us.

Do you Accept Medicaid? I have Medicare and Medicaid?

No, we do not accept Medicaid. Unfortunately, if you have both Medicare and Medicaid we are unable to provide you with services.

Do you offer In Person Appointments or only Telehealth?

YES, we offer both in Person and Telehealth appointments. Medicare requires that your first appointment be in person. After your first appointment you can do either in person or telehealth.
